Brain Rave

For the people who can’t attend nashcon (myself included).

Finally finished the altered book today. The cover is simple, but the inside is much more interesting. I like to think the book is a lot like me in a way— simple on the outside with a lot going on in my head.

Anyway, the only real part of this that is the original book is the spine. I hated the original pages of the book so much, but couldn’t find a suitable way to fix them, so I decided, the hell with it, I’d just rip the pages out. Was fun and fixed my problem.

The book is now covered in a layer of velvet with semi-dimensional butterfly stickers, ribbon, and buttons attached. I think I’ll be the only person in AP with a book that is fun to ‘pet’. :P

Inside is a scrapbook of my Disney World trip that I took the last two weeks (got back a few days ago), quotes that I love, and people who I think are awesome.

All in all, I love how it all turned out— even if a few weeks ago I thought finishing this thing would be impossible and it would turn out looking like crap.
