It became a game. They even took turns making the proposals. Whenever they had enough money to spare, which was just often enough to keep it interesting, they’d go to a new restaurant and finish their meal with one of them asking the other for their hand in marriage — the more extravagant the proposal, the better.

This is absolutely precious! At a restaurant one night, Sherlock and John see a couple get engaged and decide that’s not a bad way to get free champagne and desert. Cue the cheesiest and most adorable proposals you have ever seen. I love their shared humor in this, and how much fun they have. I won’t spoil the ending, but I must say it was rather perfect. A short and VERY sweet drabble.

I’d read this a couple of days ago, then it was submitted, and that makes me very happy. Because you all really really need to read this. It’s so wonderful. So many feels. It’s beautiful and heartbreaking and then a little less heartbreaking later. I love fanfic like this, nearly any of them, where you have a mark or something like it revealing how you feel. Or soulmates. I haven’t read anything quite like this one though and I loved it. The emotion was so intense and lovely. It made my heart ache and I teared up. Okay, maybe more than teared up. It’s so good. Fantastic!

Strays

I loved this! I can see John like this—“taking in strays” as they put it. And I really really loved Sherlock. His attitude, his vulnerability, this facade he puts on, everything. Their relationship, I thought, was brilliant. Just the way it ends up working out. John making it clear he does not expect sex from Sherlock as “payment” for helping him, despite Sherlock pushing it. That hurt me a bit, Sherlock thinking someone couldn’t just help because they wanted to. A lot of what Sherlock dealt with made my heart ache, actually. This kid against the world, more or less, because he’s like that. Mature readers for sexual content. Sherlock is around 16, John is in med school, so early 20s. Word of warning, if that bothers you.

I’m Not Actually A Pervert

To those who requested glory hole fics I found one!! I don’t know if I see Sherlock like this but it worked for this fic. I love how John didn’t know who Sherlock was, that was interesting! And when he hears his voice at Barts, that was cool turn of events! A lot of dirty talk if you’re into that, like a lot of dirty talk. It was sexy and fun, if you’re looking for a glory hole fic this is a good one.

Mummy Holmes arranges a marriage for Sherlock. Since Sherlock refuses to meet anyone properly, she must go to one of the breeding camps where older omegas are kept. She finds John Watson. Sherlock and John get along fine, but Sherlock refuses to marry and breed. Mummy decides that John should marry and breed with Mycroft if Sherlock doesn’t want to. Sherlock is not happy at all.

My first Alpha/Omega fic! Still not my cup of tea but it wasn’t bad! If you haven’t read a alpha/omega fic you might want to check this page and learn a bit about them because I literally had no idea what was going on before I read that article! I really liked the case, I think that was an excellent addition to the story and with out it it wouldn’t have held my attention. Harry was also really good in this, it’s rare that I like her in fics and this one made me want to save her and comfort her. Poor Mycroft’s quite sad too! For a theme that I normally don’t like it was surprisingly okay and if this is a theme you enjoy I think you’ll like it! Mature readers only please.

The Orchard

“Oh?” John replied, puzzled. This was not, Sherlock admitted to himself, an unreasonable response. He had come to a brothel, he had recieved sex. To John’s average mind it must have made perfect, logical sense.

Oh gosh I loved this! Surprisingly good I mean really when I read that it was about John as a prostitute and Sherlock unintentionally becoming a client I thought well this isn’t gonna be good..but it was! It worked! The characterization is great and I love how quickly John follows Sherlock into danger with no questions asked! That’s our Johnny Boy. The sex is excellently written, I love that it isn’t overly graphic and involves a bit more of what Sherlock is feeling than a his body was there and then he moved here. It worked really well and I really enjoyed it.
